I'm trying some new smilies called "Yolks" on the forum. Let me know what you think!

Um, I'm not seeing any smilies at all right now. I click on the "View more smilies" button to see if that brings up smilies, and get this:

Hm. Ok, the "View more smilies" link is not working at the moment and I'll get that fixed. In the meantime, only the new smilies should show up on the left side of the post screen.

After looking at too much sql server stuff today, I'm feeling a bit..

I tend not to use the "view more smilies", but none of the smilies were appearing on the left side so yay now. Oh man, those look amusing. Though the size they appear in the posts seem... overly large. But hilarious.

And the ones I tried didn't look quite like what the description makes me think they should look like. Although some of these are cute, I'm going to have to go with liking the old ones better.

I also cannot vote on the poll. I have no problem with the new smileys...but would they be replacing the old ones? Cause I think that, given the choice, I'd stick with the old ones. I mean, there's no smiley for beating dead horses. It's just not the same!

The old smileys are now visible below the new ones. So the beating a dead horse one is still around (and used often, apparently!). I'm not sure what's wrong with the "voting" poll so I'll remove it for now.

One request? can we somehow hide the smilies? Besides a short selection? Or alternatively put the submit button on top of the post window? It's a bit annoying having to scroll the entire smile bar to post.

Currently, all of the smilies are visible in the posting page. I can hide some / all / none of them per your request. Which ones do you want me to hide? I cannot move the Submit button higher on the posting page, though.

I say hide the new smilies, they are the cause for such a huge gap.

I'd concur. The size of the new smilies is sufficient to make a huge gap appear. Cute, but take up a tad bit too much space on the form page.

Yeah, they are truly large smilies. They are the sumo wrestlers of smileys. They are still cool, though!

Yeah hide the big ones, just use up too much space.

I'm liking 'em, but one issue:

Can't use the ": grin :" (no spaces), since it shares that tag with one of the original ones.

So, those of you who love to use smilies...

Vote by posting examples of the smilies you want to be deleted. I mean, gone for good, not hidden. If a smilie gets enough "kill votes" (measured by posts agreeing with the kill request in this thread .. amount of votes determined by.. me!) then it will be removed.
